Case History #1
Fay was contacted by a large game company that needed a unique paper roll that was the main piece of a
new creative product.
They were having quality, fit, and delivery problems. We asked for a sample of the product they were using,
a narrow width roll of heavy weight Bellum bond. With this information in hand, we were able to provide a
solution with a core variance and a special adhesive application. We were able to put this product into production
and deliver the product so they were able to meet their delivery commitments!
Sometimes basic changes and business acumen can solve problems for creative engineers!
Case History #2
We had called on a major grocery chain periodically for three years hoping to become a supplier of paper roll
products for the chain.
The company was very gracious, but with each conversation they implied that a company of their
size should only deal with a large supplier due to their stringent delivery requirements.
One afternoon, we received a call from this company's purchasing agent.
They would be out of cash register rolls as of 9pm that evening, and wanted to
know if we could supply them with the paper rolls they needed before then.
Obviously, cash register rolls are a "must have" item in any grocery
store as operating without them is just not an option.
We were able to deliver the product they needed to their warehouse and to their
"all-night" stores well before the 9pm deadline.
The following day we received a call of thanks from the Company President as
well as the Purchasing Agent. The agent now agreed that dealing with a national
chain is not always a perfect situation.
We are now and continue to be a source of cash register rolls to this grocery
chain.
